Mike Cator, Ridgewood, Junior - An All-North Jersey selection last year in his first season of cross-country, he appears ready to move into the state's top echelon of runners. He had six major-meet top 10 finishes, including seventh in the Bergen Meet of Champions.

Hayrol Cruz, Passaic, Senior - Better known as a fine 400- and 800-meter runner, he may be the Passaic County favorite this fall after a fourth-place finish in last year's race. He also was third in the NNJIL B race and took 17th in the North 1, Group 4 sectional race.
