SEATTLE - While many things haven't gone according to plan this season for the Seattle Seahawks, it's difficult to imagine a better blueprint for Shaun Alexander's year.
Alexander fell one yard short of the NFL rushing title Sunday, finishing the season with 1,696 yards on 353 carries. Curtis Martin of the New York Jets, who rushed for 153 yards Sunday against St. Louis, led the league with 1,697 yards.Seahawks Notebook: Alexander Ends Up a Yard Short
Alexander, a sixth-year back out of Alabama, carried 19 times for 80 yards Sunday in a 28-26 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
