Employees of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department won't get all of the pay raises the county commissioners granted for this year because Sheriff Dave Tucker held up awarding them for three months.

Tucker has had a pattern of holding up such across-the-board raises for weeks or months, but unlike in the past, he said he was unable to make them retroactive this year.
