REDLANDS - For the 42nd year, Sylvan Park filled with people enjoying snow cones, cotton candy, hot dogs and flags for the Redlands Fourth of July celebration.

"This is a family tradition," said Erick Hendrickson, of Redlands. "We come out every year to see the parade, the bands we go out on the field to watch the fireworks. It's just a time- honored tradition.
