JACKSON - The jury pool for the federal corruption trial of Hinds County Circuit Judge Bobby DeLaughter will be called from the entire northern half of Mississippi, a much larger area than usual.

Potential jurors for the Aug. 17 trial in Oxford will come from the 37-county northern district instead of the usual 17-county area, U.S. Dist. Judge Glen H. Davidson ruled Monday. It's not yet clear how many jurors will be contacted.
