Sales Development Representative

We are looking for high achievers with a passion for sales and technology to join our rapidly expanding sales development team. You will need to be a driven and competitive self-starter, an innovative and exceptional communicator with a passion to inspire and motivate your clients and those around you, and hold a solid academic record and a true desire to succeed in the sales industry.

Working remotely, you will report to the head of region and form part of our regional commercial teams. You will be responsible for prospecting potential clients for the company’s flagship product across all relevant regions of the Global Markets and arranging consultation calls with our sales consultants. 

Key responsibilities

  • Be a Hunter: Research, prospect and contact qualified prospective leads
  • Own the Sales Cycle: Booking meetings for senior consultants to demonstrate the company’s expanding portfolio of content and technology, including the flagship research platform
  • Provide Consultation: Take the time to truly understand client needs and business priorities, guiding potential clients through needs analysis and product matching processes
  • Exceed Targets: Actively achieve daily, weekly and monthly individual and team KPIs
  • Be Successfully Autonomous: Manage, grow and maintain your own pipeline of high-quality prospects

 

Key skills and qualifications

  • A solid academic background – A qualification/understanding of the law is desirable
  • Previous telesales experience of 1-2 years (experience within legal, technology or SaaS is highly desirable)
  • Driven interest in the sales, legal and technology industries
  • Interest or knowledge of legal information services as well as presentation skills
  • Confident, professional and calm communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A tenacious and resilient personality
  • Confident in dealing and liaising with varieties of customers from the UK and internationally
  • Ability to meet and exceed targets
  • Ability to work well within a tight-knit team but excel independently
  • Efficient time management skills
  • Desire to progress through a growing sales team

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Increase awareness and usage of the vLex platform with students in the Caribbean.
  • Run training and drop-in sessions for students and staff.
  • Create a Caribbean student guide.
  • Represent the vLex brand within the university.
  • Liaise with our training team to provide feedback.

We are looking for high achievers with a passion for the law, customer service and technology to join our growing team. The role is predominantly focusing on customer success by helping to train and educate new and existing users of vLex, ensuring use and knowledge of the platform is maintained. You will need to be a driven and competitive self-starter with a solid legal academic record with a desire to progress in the customer support industry. Customer service experience would also be a benefit to being successful in this role. You will be responsible for understanding the company’s new and existing product range and delivering that message to clients across a range of jurisdictions.

Working remotely and reporting to the Head of Customer Success, Global Markets, the role could involve travel, face-to-face meetings and live demonstrations of the product. It will also involve online presentations mainly conducted via zoom.

Key Roles

Training

  • To train all customers within the Caribbean jurisdiction.
  • To train accounts in UK and Ireland in support of existing account managers.
  • To maintain a thorough knowledge of all vLex Justis products, content and developments.
  • To run Webinars and Q&A sessions for vLex customers.
  • To contribute to creating and planning the training sessions on offer from vLex.
  • Maintaining our certified proficiency test.
  • Occasionally attend conferences and events to promote our products, and answer customer questions.

Customer Support

  • To provide non-technical customer support to accounts under your management.
  • To filter technical support requests through to the relevant team members.
  • To work alongside our account managers to report bugs and feedback to the appropriate teams.

Targets

  • Training KPIs will be provided on start, these will involve the number of training sessions being conducted, and the number of attendees at each session.
  • First response time for helpdesk queries.

Key Attributes

  • A law degree or knowledge of legal systems is preferable.
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in a Commercial or Customer Service role would be nice to have, though we would be very interested in hearing from new graduates looking to get into the legal technology space.
  • Work experience within the industries of technology, law or publishing is desirable.
  • Confident, professional and calm communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A tenacious and resilient personality.
  • Confidence in dealing and liaising with a variety of customers from a range of jurisdictions.
  • Ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Ability to work well within a tight-knit team.
  • Efficient time management skills.

  • Familiarity with primary and secondary sources of law;
  • Experience with legal research using hard and electronic sources.
