Deleting Personal Data

The Information Commissioner's office has published guidance on deleting and archiving electronically stored personal data under the Data Protection Act 1988. Personal data is not to be kept for any longer than is necessary. Personal data has not been deleted if in fact it has only been archived and could be reinstated.
