3rd KIAHF-2023 horse auction kicks off today

A huge public turnout continues in keeping pace with an array of cultural events held on the sidelines of the 3rd edition of the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (KIAHF-2023), organised by the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara under the generous patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

The auction begins today, with the stable opening from 9 am until 12 pm, to be followed by horse inspection from noon until 3 pm, with bid distribution and insurance deposits paid to start from 3 pm, and the auction beginning at 5:30 pm.

The festival's last two editions were a success, setting a milestone in the world of horse auctions, having witnessed the highest selling price for the mare's egg FT Sheila, amounting to more than QR 3 million, in addition to the valuables and paintings auction.

The Katara auction for qualified purebred Arabian horses aims to provide an opportunity for interested owners, breeders, and fans to acquire the best of horses, especially since the auction's horses are of the finest types, and have previously won in international and regional championships.
