Banglsdesh bourses end week on gaining streak.

Bangladesh's both the bourses, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), finished the week on a gaining streak as stock prices were on the up on the last day amid some positive signs worldwide. Stocks on Thursday witnessed an upward trend like before as investors continued their buying spree on large- cap issues amid optimism, market analysts said. DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 8.62 points or 0.15 per cent to settle at 5,836.18. The DSE 30 Index, comprising blue chips, and the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gained 0.94 points to finish at 2,208.45 and 4.58 points closing at 1,294.65. Turnover, a crucial indicator of the market, stood at Taka 12.13 billion on the country's premier bourse which was Taka 14.16 billion, says a BSS report. Gainers took a modest lead over the losers, as out of 360 issues traded, 132 closed in the green, 143 in the red and 85 remained unchanged on the DSE trading floor.
