Banglsdesh contains daily corona deaths to eight by official count and cases also dropped but, medics say, would need further cuts to restart life in full flush.

Meanwhile, a consignment of 3.5 million vaccine doses--20 lakh as gift and 15 lakh from a bought haul-- are arriving today from India for preventive combat against the tiny foe of humanity.

The death toll from the COVID-19 illness has climbed to 7,950 in the country after the government registered the eight fatalities, the lowest daily count since May 8.

Bangladesh recorded 656 new cases of the coronavirus in the 24 hours to 8 am Wednesday, taking the tally of infections so far to 529,687, according to the latest data from the government.

The infection rate also one if lowest at 4.26.

Another 617 patients recovered from the illness through treatment at home and in hospital care, bringing the total to 474,472.
