Banglsdesh counts 20 more daily corona deaths, 702 cases.

Banglsdesh continued to count rather lower daily corona deaths and cases as the health department Tuesday reported 20 casualties and 702 infections, as preparations are afoot for vaccination. The recorded 702 new cases of the coronavirus in a daily count took the tally of infections so far to 529,031. The latest rate is 4.65, one of the lowest incidences. The death toll climbed to 7,942 after the 20 fatalities registered in the 24 hours to 8 am Tuesday, according to data released by the government. The casualty rate is a bit higher at 1.5 percent. Another 682 patients recovered from the illness through treatment at home and in hospital care, bringing the total to 473,855. The recovery rate reported was 89.57 percent. "It's a good idea...I'll pursue it," said former health minister Prof Dr Ruhal Haque MP, now chairman of the parliamentary standing commiittee on the ministry, as the suggestion for vaccination in these cities only in the first phase came while the government plans nationwide drive. Health department's regular reports reveal the corona infections and deaths concentrated on these cities and surroundings. And the health...
