Banglsdesh daily corona cases dropped to lowest 5.0 percent and deaths also decreased to 16 by official count reported Tuesday. Sixteen more people have died from coronavirus infection and 718 new cases have been reported in 24 hours (till 8am Tuesday) across the country. In that period, 14,363 samples were tested and the positivity rate was 5.0 percent, the lowest since early April 2020. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Tuesday issued a press release with the latest information on the coronavirus situation. According to the DGHS, the total number of cases in the country currently stands at 5,24,020. With the 16 new deaths, the total number of fatalities due to coronavirus has risen to 7,819. The DGHS said another 963 patients have recovered in 24 hours (till 8am today). With this, total 4,68,681 patients have recovered.
