Chapters tell the story: AI proudly supports its chapters through events, education and administrative backing.

The Appraisal Institutes nearly 80 chapters play a vital role in the continued success of the organization, helping AI professionals throughout the country enhance and advance their careers and encouraging them to get involved at the local level. And the Appraisal Institute is tremendously proud to support its chapters' efforts through events, education, networking opportunities and administrative backing, including the following:

LDAC conference

A select group of 100 AI professionals from around the country participate in the annual Leadership Development and Advisory Council conference in Washington, D.C. Many of these individuals are sponsored by their chapters. Appraisers who are enthusiastic and passionate about the valuation profession attend the conference to network with one another, discuss critical issues, brainstorm "big ideas" and spend a day lobbying on Capitol Hill.

Registration for the 2019 LDAC conference is closed, but save the date for 2020: May 18--20 at the Hilton Washington, D.C., National Mall.

Education and networking

The Appraisal Institute develops and produces continuing education offerings that chapters make available to members throughout the year. Chapters that advertise and promote online education are eligible for a revenue share, and they may be reimbursed for a portion of expenses incurred in advertising AI to external audiences. Chapters also plan and host local networking events where appraisers can exchange ideas and connect with others aligned with the valuation profession. These important in-person opportunities not only serve to educate and inform appraisers but also facilitate important connections that can help advance careers. Successful, well-attended events range from informal happy hour social gatherings, to residential roundtables, to real estate and appraisal symposia.
