Clyde & Co Wins Best Community Engagement Award

Last night Clyde & Co's Employment and Immigration team was awarded the 'Best community engagement' award at the Managing Partners' Forum 2015 for its innovative Skype pro bono clinic.

The clinic has been running, with assistance from the firms' Community Investment team, for two years and helps the Brent Citizens Advice Bureau deal with the increasing number of employment and immigration law queries following the cuts to civil legal aid in employment and immigration law.

This is the first such clinic to operate using Skype technology, enabling lawyers across the country to advise from their office and thereby provide CAB clients with increased access to justice. It is a cost effective model that is flexible, convenient and allows lawyers' time to be used in the most effective way possible.
