Couple among 4 burn to death in Gazipur colony fire.

Four people, including a couple, burnt to death and 20 were injured in a fire at a colony in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur early Monday. The deceased are Milon, 37, and his wife Munni, 30, Forhad, 40, and Awal, 20. Over 50 dwellings went up in flames in the fire at Kalampur Nobboi colony around 5:30am, firefighters said. Workers of garment factories rent houses in the colony, they said. "Soon after receiving the information, three firefighting units rushed in and put out the blaze after an hour of frantic efforts," said one fireman.
