Criminal Justice And Courts Act 2015 Receives Royal Assent

The Criminal Justice and Courts Act 2015 received royal assent on 12.2.2015, although it is not yet known when it will come into force.

The Act includes clause 57 which introduces provisions where a claim for personal injury is found to be fundamentally dishonest, including dismissal of the whole claim. It should be noted that fundamental dishonesty will not apply to proceedings issued before the section comes into force.
