Dhaka, KL to sign 4 instruments during PM's visit

Dhaka, Dec 1 (UNB) Bangladesh will seek greater Malaysian investment and increased and speedy manpower recruitment from Bangladesh apart from signing four instruments during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Malaysia visit

The Prime Minister leaves here for Malaysia on Tuesday on a three-day visit and will have a bilateral meeting with her Malaysian counterpart Najib Razak on Wednesday at Putrajaya, the administrative capital of the Southeast Asian country.

During the meeting, the top leaders of the two countries will discuss ways to strengthen ties in the areas of trade, tourism, culture, human resource development, higher education apart from touching upon regional and international issues of interest, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali told a press conference at his ministry on Monday.

The four deals and MoUs -- Protocol Amending the MoU of 2012 between Malaysia and Bangladesh on the Employment of Workers, MoU between Bangladesh and Malaysia on Cooperation in the Field of Tourism, Agreement between Bangladesh and Malaysia on the Partial Abolition of Visa Requirements and MoU between Bangladesh and Malaysia on Cultural, Arts and Heritage Cooperation -- are expected to be signed after the bilateral meeting.

Hasina will lead a 30-member delegation comprising the Foreign Minister, Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engineer Khandker Mosharraf Hossain, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon, Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan and high government officials.
