Government Notifies Revised Fee Structure For Trademarks

The Government of Pakistan in exercise of its power conferred under Section (1) of the Section 132 of the Ordinance, 2001 published the Trade mark Rules, 2004 and the Rules came into effect from April 02, 2004. The Government of Pakistan (Ministry of Commerce and Textiles), Commerce Division, on March 04, 2019 had issued a notification with regard to the amendments in the Trade mark Rules, 2004 which is to come to effect from March 09, 2019. As per the said notification, the amendments have been prescribed for the First Schedule of the Trade Mark Rules, 2004. It provides for the revised fees structure which is as follows: -

    On application under section 82, read with the first schedule to the ordinance, to register a collective mark for a specification of goods or services included in one class.

    On notice of opposition under section 28(2), for each application opposed.
