The government scrapped the Freedom Fighter certificate of 52 persons, including former army officer Risaldar Mosleh Uddin Khan, one of the condemned killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. A gazette notifying the cancellation of their titles was published on January 5 in line with the recommendations made at the 70th meeting of the National Freedom Fighters Council.
