Hungry for growth: PrimoHoagies signs 20 new franchise agreements.

Fast-growing sandwich chain PrimoHoagies is continuing to devour the competition, with the Westville-based brand finalizing deals to launch 20 new restaurants across the eastern and midwestern parts of the U.S.

In an Oct. 19 press release, the chain announced its latest round of franchise agreements, which will include PrimoHoagie's debut in Massachusetts.

Besides opening three restaurants in the area of Springfield, Mass., the fast casual which was recently ranked as America's No. 1 sandwich shop in USA Today's readers' choice awards expects to add two units in Mine Hill, N.J.; eight in Detroit, Mich.; three in Rochester, N.Y.; and three in Pittsburgh and one in Jamison, Pa.

According to PrimoHoagies, the first of these new locations is set to begin serving customers by May 2024.

Founded 30 years ago in Philadelphia, the chain is popular for its diverse menu featuring specialty sandwiches made with high-quality meats and cheeses piled high on fresh-baked rolls. Now, the company has more than 100 locations across the country, including over 30 restaurants in New Jersey, and says it is well on its way to launching 115 stores by the end of 2023. Within the next five years, PrimoHoagies plans to surpass 300 locations.
