Laws ready for Publishing HSC results sans exams.

A parliamentary panel Tuesday finalised three bills to make legal provisions for publishing the results of the HSC and equivalent examinations sans the exams being held for disruption by the pandemic. The bills will be placed before the House for enactment allowing the results, to be published by January 28. Workers Party MP Fazle Hossain Badsha presided over the committee meeting at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in Dhaka in absence of its chairman Afsarul Amin, a ruling Awami League lawmaker. The bills are 'The Intermediate and Secondary Education (Amendment) Bill, 2021', 'Bangladesh Vocational Education Board (Amendment) Bill 2021' and 'Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board (Amendment) Bill 2021'. Earlier in the day, Education Minister Dipu Moni placed the bills in the House and were sent to the parliamentary standing committee on the education ministry for vetting. The committee was asked to submit its reports on 'The Intermediate and Secondary Education (Amendment) Bill, 2021' within one day while two days were given for 'Bangladesh Vocational Education Board (Amendment) Bill, 2021' and 'Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board (Amendment) Bill, 2021'.
