Ley N° 3751, publicada en el Boletín Oficial el 28/07/2021 (Santa Cruz)

Establece un procedimiento de plan de cierre de minas en la provincia de Santa Cruz. La autoridad de aplicación será la Secretaría de Estado de Minería de la provincia.

El objeto del plan de cierre de minas es ejecutar un conjunto de medidas y acciones para mitigar los efectos que deriven del desarrollo de la industria minera en los lugares en que esta se realice, y así asegurar su estabilidad biológica, física y geoquímica, de conformidad con la normativa ambiental aplicable. La ejecución de dichas medidas y acciones deberá resguardar debidamente la vida, salud, seguridad de las personas y medioambiente, como así también gestionar los aspectos sociodemográficos, socioeconómicos y culturales vinculados al proceso de cierre de mina, y garantizar por parte de los productores mineros la disponibilidad de recursos para afrontar los costos de las acciones de cierre y post cierre de acuerdo a esta ley.
