On 11 June 2021 at 11:00 COBALT invites to join the online discussion "ESG: a fashionable slogan or necessity". The third event in the discussion series dedicated to different and essential corporate governance issues.

The event language: Latvian

In the discussion on corporate sustainability we will together with experienced entrepreneurs and corporate governance experts talk about the role of ESG in the business environment, challenges businesses face while introducing sustainable principles as well as the role of corporate governance in the achievement of the ESG goals.

In the first part of the event COBALT partner and member of the Corporate Governance Advisory Board of Ministry of Justice Gatis Flinters will explain, how the new Code can help to achieve ESG goals. His presentation will be followed by a discussion on the role of corporate governance in the creation of a truly sustainable business, including excellent speakers' panel: SCHWENK Latvija Member of the Management Board, Environmental and Legal Director Evita Gosa, Kuehne Nagel Latvija Chairman of the Board Karlis Soika, Independent Member of the Council at Rigas Satiksme, Rigas namu parvaldnieks Ainars Ozols and SG Capital Chairman of the Board Harijs Svarcs. Moderator of the panel discussion: Nasdaq Riga Chairwoman of the Board and Chairwomen of Corporate governance Advisory Board of the Ministry of Justice Daiga Auzina-Melalksne.

At the opening of the second part of the event Alphinox Chairwoman of the Board Julija Bistrova will analyse whether companies and investors really care about ESG? The event will be concluded with a panel discussion on ESG challenges...
