Rallies in some areas prohibited for parliament session.

Carrying all kinds of weapons and staging processions and demonstrations in some city areas are banned from midnight on Sunday night for peaceful holding of parliament session, coming in the wake of the political arena heating up afresh despite corona inhibitions. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) slapped the restrictions "to ensure the holding of the Jatiya Sangsad session in a smooth and peaceful manner" from tomorrow (Monday). The embargo will be in force until the end of the 11th session of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad, according to a press release issued Saturday in Dhaka. In order to maintain law and order in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban and its surrounding areas at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, DMP Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam imposed the ban on carrying all sorts of weapons and bringing processions under the DMP ordinance.
