Requisitos de Viaje y recomendaciones para viajar en Centroamérica

A la hora de planear un viaje fuera del país, ya sea por placer, turismo o de negocios, se deben tomar en cuenta ciertas acciones como, confirmar reservaciones de hotel, y buscar los mejores destinos y épocas en las que pueda ser más económico viajar. Sin embargo, por lo general las personas no tienden a revisar (o lo dejan para el final) si poseen pasaportes vigentes o investigar si se requiere de algún documento previo al momento de ingresar a su país de destino. Es por este motivo que nos gustaría compartir una serie de consejos y recomendaciones para viajar a cualquier país Centroamericano.
La recomendación principal, aunque pueda parecer un poco evidente, es siempre revisar la fecha de expiración de su pasaporte, previo a coordinar algún viaje. Como regla general, la mayoría de los países solicitan que el pasaporte tenga una validez de mínimo 6 meses, previo a la fecha de ingreso del país de destino. Si bien hay pasaportes o nacionalidades que exigen menos tiempo, (3 meses y algunos permiten viajar incluso con 30 días al vencimiento) es recomendable tener en mente este plazo para iniciar con las renovaciones de pasaporte con la antelación necesaria.
En el caso de viajes entre ciudadanos de los países de Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras y Nicaragua, para viajar vía terrestre dentro de la misma región, el único documento que se solicitará para poder ingresar es su documento de identificación vigente y en buen estado gracias al convenio conocido como CA-4.
Otra acción importante y recomendada en esta época moderna del acceso a información y de internet, es consultar páginas web o sitios oficiales de migración para revisar cuales son los requisitos de ingreso para turismo o negocios. En el caso de Centroamérica se tienen los siguientes sitios:
- Guatemala: https://igm.gob.gt/clasificacion-de-paises/ y https://igm.gob.gt/requisitos-de-ingreso-a-territorio-guatemalteco/
- El Salvador: https://rree.gob.sv/servicios/visas-para-extranjeros/
- Honduras: En el caso de Honduras, se debe consultar con el consulado de su país de origen ubicado en Tegucigalpa; o en su defecto consultar con nuestros asesores para confirmar los requisitos.
- Nicaragua: Si bien existe una lista en su página oficial, la última actualización fue en el 2017. En el caso concreto se recomienda verificar con sus abogados o agencia de viajes sobre los requisitos de ingreso.
