The National Unity Government (NUG)

On Friday, Acting President of the NUG expressed thanks to the United States House of Representatives for their adoption of the National Defence Authorization Act-NDAA containing the Burma Act.

On Thursday, the meeting of the NUG Central Committee on the Interim Public Administration was conducted. There, Chair of the Committee and Union Prime Minister Man Win Khine Than called for the best effort considering that the revolution was a golden opportunity for drastic change in the future.

Via social media, Minister of Human Rights-NUG shared information that the US House of Representatives had adopted the NDAA.

On Friday, Ministry of Human Rights-NUG released a statement against the forced repatriation of Rohingya people floating in the sea to the military junta in Myanmar.

In an interview with Spanish Newspaper EL ESPAÑOL, Dr. Sasa, Union Minister of International Cooperation- NUG, stated that the military junta in Myanmar had been turning the country into an entity like North Korea.

On Thursday, there was an online presentation on the activities of Committee Representing Pyitaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) to the members in Kayin State, Shan State, Yangon Region and Ayeyarwaddy Region.

Revolution Activities

The United States House of Representatives adopted National Defence Authorization Act- NDAA containing the points to support the NUG, NUCC and CRPH, provide technical support to PDFs and EAOs, and block the financial resources of the junta army like the MOGE. It is awaiting the signature of the US President Joe Biden.

In an interview with the Irrawaddy, Dr. Tun Myint, Professor of Political Science Department at Carleton College, remarked that the NDAA containing the Burma Act was the final warning to the military junta.

Special Advisory Committee on Myanmar released a report that the International Criminal Court-ICC should take immediate action to put an end to the freedom from punishment of the military junta for their crimes.

The UK-based Myanmar Accountability Project-MAP welcomed the United Nations for accepting the NUG and Myanmar's Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun for the representation of Myanmar in the UN conferences, and rejecting the representation of the military junta.

In Japan, there was a protest against the junta's death sentence on the seven students of Dagon University on Thursday.

In Pyinmanar of Nay Pyi Taw, two bombs exploded near Nan Sein Bakery at about 6:00 pm Thursday.
