vLex hires Dan Hoadley to lead new LLM-focused research and development team

28th March, 2024 - vLex, a global legal intelligence platform that provides legal professionals with access to the most extensive collection of legal and regulatory material in the world, is excited to announce the formation of a new advanced research and development team dedicated to the exploration and integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) in legal technology. This initiative marks a significant milestone in vLex’s commitment to innovation and excellence in legal tech.

Leading this cutting-edge research team will be Dan Hoadley, joining vLex as Head of Research and Development on the 1st of April 2024. Recently appointed as the technology advisor for the English Civil Justice Council, and with his background as Mishcon de Reya’s Head of Data Science, and Head of Research at the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for England and Wales (ICLR), Hoadley brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and visionary leadership to the company. His expertise in leveraging data science and artificial intelligence within legal contexts has established him as a leading figure in legal tech innovation.
